International franchise association (IFA)

Founded in 1960, The International Franchise Association (IFA) is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchised businesses, which now spans 75 diverse industries. The association is a membership organization of franchisors, franchisees, and suppliers who provide goods and services to the franchise community.

The IFA is the preeminent voice and acknowledged leader for franchising worldwide and continually upholds this overall mission: The International Franchise Association protects, enhances and promotes franchising.

With over 1,100 franchisor members; more than 500 Supplier Forum members; and more than 10,000 franchisee members, the IFA is the most comprehensive and respected franchise organization in the world.

Canadian Franchise Association

With almost 500 corporate members nation-wide, representing many of Canada's best-known brands, the Canadian Franchise Association is the National Voice of Franchising in Canada and works with all levels of government to develop industry-made solutions. CFA promotes excellence in franchising and educates Canadians about franchising, specific franchise opportunities and proper due diligence through its many events, programs and publications.

The British Franchise Association

The British Franchise Association (bfa) is the voluntary self regulating governing body for franchising. The UK market encompasses many franchise opportunities and this website will help you to make a more informed choice about which one of those franchises best suits you. All of our members have chosen to be vetted against a strict code of business practice - they endeavour to be good franchisors that can deliver the success that you want.

Association of New Zealand Inc.

The Franchise Association of New Zealand Inc. is the peak body representing the franchising community at government and other industry forums. Members of the Association are committed to observe the best practice in franchising through adherance to a Code of Ethics, a Code of Practice and the Rules of the Association.

Franchising is a respectable and highly successful business format, both internationally and here in New Zealand. The turnover of franchised businesses in New Zealand is well over $15 billion a year and around 100,000 people are employed in franchises.
